Cleaning of rooms, common spaces and bathrooms

Common areas, including shared bathrooms, are cleaned by housekeeping staff on a regular schedule.

Individual rooms, common areas, suites, and apartments, and private bathrooms are not serviced by housekeeping. This includes all apartment bathrooms, suite bathrooms, bathrooms attached to traditional rooms, and any bathroom that is accessible only to residents with a key.  Residents are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their personal living spaces and private bathrooms. Residents are also expected to provide their own toilet paper and any other bathroom supplies needed for their personal use.

Using a Preferred Name on Mail

Mail is addressed to the name listed in your housing application. To use a preferred name, you have two options:

  • Update your name during the housing application process.
  • Email Campus Housing at livingoncampus@uconn.edu to request a preferred name change.
